Films: The Monster Squad (1987)
Alias: Dracula, the Wolfman, Mummy, Gillman, Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula's Brides
Type: Natural (Gillman), Man-Made (the Monster), Mystical (everyone else)
Location: Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Good (the Monster), Neutral (the Wolfman, Gillman), Evil (the rest)
Summary: The Ghostbusters couldn't be here for the daily extermination of supernatural evil. So now the fate of the world rests in a bunch of pre-teen kids up against some of the more iconic baddies of horror. Jeez.
History: There tells of an amulet made up of pure good. Any who have it can decide the fate of the world, whether it falls to good or evil. For centuries, the evil Dracula has been trying to find it, but it only materializes for a short time. Now, he has its scent, and has enlisted a host of other monsters to help him out, whether they like it or not. Those with reluctance include the Wolfman and the Frankenstein's Monster, who actually joins the good guys.
Notable Kills: See Final Fate.
Final Fate: The Mummy gets unwrapped by an arrow, the brides are shot down by a crossbow, the Wolfman gets a silver bullet to the chest, the Gillman gets blasted by a shotgun, and Dracula not only gets staked twice (once by the Monster even), but is sucked into a portal by the ghost of Van Helsing himself. The Monster follows suite, but not before being offered a teddy bear to remember his new friends.
Powers/Abilities: Normal vampiric powers for Dracula, and if the Wolfman is blown up, he'll just come back together.
Weakness: Silver bullets, stakes, amulet-related rituals, and anything else.
Scariness Factor: 4-Most of the monsters are scary to some extent, but this Dracula is plain vile. Ruthless and charismatic, he's the only one we know who will willfully kill a kid after calling her a b*tch. Still, at least the Monster is friendly enough.
Trivia: -Speaking of Dracula, his actor, Duncan Regehr, recommended that they only use one take for his final scene due to him legitimately scaring the little actress he confronted.
-One of the people behind the effects was none other than Stan Winston.
